All ASI protected central monuments and museums, including the Taj Mahal, are closed due to the Corona pandemic. Now all centrally protected monuments/sites and museums under ASI will be opened from June 16. These places have been closed since April 16 due to the covid pandemic.
The second wave of corona infection had created an uproar across the country, after which the Union Ministry of Tourism had to take a decision to close all the central monuments. In April-May, the number of deaths due to corona in the country suddenly increased.
The ASI had earlier issued an order to close all centrally protected monuments from April 16 to May 15. After this, the ASI once again issued an order to close it on May 12 to extend it till June 15.
There is a continuous decline in Covid cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, 70,421 new cases of corona were reported, which is the lowest since March 31. At the same time, there have been 3,921 deaths due to the virus in 24 hours. These figures were shared by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday. This is the seventh consecutive day that less than one lakh Covid cases have been reported in India.
The total number of Covid cases in India has now increased to 2 crore 95 lakh 10 thousand 410. Active cases have come down to 10 lakhs. There are currently 9 lakh 73 thousand 158 active cases in the country and 3,74,305 deaths have occurred so far. A total of 1,19,501 people have been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours, taking a total of 2,81,62,947 people to discharge so far. So far, a total of 25 crore 48 lakh 49 thousand 301 vaccine doses have been given in the country, in which 14,99,771 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
