Bangkok, Thailand – The “Amazing Thailand Grand Bharat Tourism Forum” was successfully held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in Bangkok, reinforcing the deep-rooted tourism and cultural ties between Thailand and India. The event, presided over by Ambassador Nagesh Singh and Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, HE Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, celebrated the remarkable achievement of 2.3 million Indian tourist arrivals in Thailand in 2024.
The forum served as a vital platform for fostering collaboration between tourism stakeholders, featuring key sessions such as a B2B business matching session, a networking opportunity for tourism operators, and an academic seminar focused on driving sustainable tourism growth. One of the major highlights was the presentation of Thailand’s 2025 tourism policy and marketing direction for the Indian market as part of the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year” initiative.
During his address, Ambassador Nagesh Singh commended Thailand’s warm hospitality and underscored the significance of the growing people-to-people connections between India and Thailand. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral tourism by facilitating the travel of Thai tourists to India.
A key discussion point at the forum was Thailand’s ambitious goal of welcoming 3 million Indian tourists by 2025, further solidifying India’s position as a crucial inbound market.
