Today is the third death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During this, the country is reverently remembering former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary. Programs are being organized at Atal Samadhi in memory of the former Prime Minister. Many dignitaries including President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda are present in this program.
The program has started at 6.45 am at Atal Samadhi Sthal ‘Sadaiva Atal’. After reaching the samadhi site, all the leaders including PM Modi and the President will remember him reverently.
At the same time, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath will attend the program organized on the death anniversary of Vajpayee in Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will garland the statue of the former PM in Lok Bhavan at 10 am.
At the same time, on the third death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee, a play titled ‘Meri Yatra-Atal Yatra’ will be staged at 5.30 pm in Lucknow itself. On behalf of Atal Bihari Bajpayee Memorial Foundation, CM Yogi, both Deputy CMs, BJP State President will also attend the Atal Bihari Bajpayee Convention Center of KGMU. On this occasion, 15 people who worked with Atal ji will be honored.
One of the country’s prominent leaders and a founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Vajpayee passed away on August 16, 2018 at Delhi’s AIIMS Hospital after a prolonged illness. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor, in the year 2015. The country celebrates his birthday (25 December) as ‘Good Governance Day’.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the only leader who held the post of Prime Minister thrice after Jawaharlal Nehru. Former PM Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
