Bangkok Hosted “Bangkok We Are OK!” Concert to Reassure Global Confidence

Bangkok, Thailand – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) hosted a large-scale cultural event, the “Bangkok We Are OK!” concert, at Lumpini Park today, welcoming ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from 30 countries. This initiative aimed to restore confidence in the city following a recent earthquake.

Governor Chadchart Sittipunt emphasized the importance of international perception, stating, “Foreign diplomats are our windows to the world. If embassies confirm Bangkok is OK, the world will know we’re OK.” He further reassured the public that while the city continues to support those affected by the earthquake, it must also move forward with resilience and optimism.

Cultural Performances Across the City

In addition to Lumpini Park, the BMA organized musical performances at several key locations, including Benjakitti Park, Benjasiri Park, Chatuchak Park, and Peace Park near Victory Monument. These concerts showcased an impressive lineup of performers, including the Bangkok Metropolitan Orchestra, the Police Orchestra, and various talented artists from the Bangkok Street Performer project.

The “Bangkok We Are OK!” event not only highlighted the city’s vibrant arts and culture scene but also reinforced Bangkok’s commitment to ensuring safety and stability for residents and visitors alike.

Boosting Bangkok’s Image Post-Earthquake

Following the recent seismic activity, concerns had risen regarding Bangkok’s safety. The BMA’s proactive efforts, such as this concert, aim to dispel any uncertainties and showcase the city’s preparedness. By engaging with the international community and promoting positive messaging, Bangkok hopes to reaffirm its status as a safe and thriving metropolis.

With strong support from the diplomatic community and enthusiastic participation from locals and tourists, the “Bangkok We Are OK!” concert successfully delivered a message of resilience, unity, and confidence to the world.
