Pamir ranges
The Pamir is a major plateau and mountain range formed by the confluence of the Himalaya, Tian Shan, Karakoram, Kunlun and Hindu Kush ranges, part of which is also located in Afghanistan. The Pamir is considered one of the highest mountains in the world and is also known as the ‘Roof of the World’. Before the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, a large number of tourists used to come here to visit.
Buddha of Bamiyan
In the Bamiyan Valley of the Hindu Kush mountain ranges there were two standing statues of the Lord Buddha, known as the Buddha of Bamiyan, built in the 4th and 5th centuries. However, the Taliban have destroyed this historical heritage by blowing up these statues with dynamite. Now going here is not free from danger.
Afghan National Museum
It is also known as Kabul Museum. This museum is considered to be the richest museum in Central Asia. There is a collection of millions of rare objects from thousands of years ago. Apart from this, Darul Aman Palace is also a beautiful place located in Kabul. This palace is built on a hill, from where one can have a beautiful view of the entire valley.
