Bengal Allows Restaurants To Open For 3 Hours With Vaccinated Staff

After the decrease in corona cases in West Bengal, the state government has allowed the restaurant to open for three hours. But the government has put some conditions for restaurant operators. According to them, all the people working in the restaurant must have got the vaccine of Covid. However, no definite date has been announced yet in relation to when the restaurant will be opened.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced this on Thursday. The state government is also considering to open shopping malls with 25 percent working capacity from June 15.

Mamta Banerjee said that the restaurant has been allowed to open conditionally from 5 pm to 8 pm for three hours. It will be mandatory for all the employees working there to get the vaccine of Covid.

The Chief Minister said that his government is considering the option of vaccinating domestic helpers in the same manner as it is planned to vaccinate hawkers, bus conductors, vendors and others. While appealing to the people to actively participate in the Covid vaccination campaign, Banerjee said that so far 1.4 crore people of the state have got the Covid vaccine. The state government is trying to vaccinate more and more people as soon as possible.
