Bikaner To Be First City In Country To Start Door-To-Door Vaccination

Bikaner will become the first city in the country to vaccinate door-to-door against the Covid pandemic. Vaccination drive will start in Bikaner, Rajasthan from Monday. Under this, people of 45 years and above will be given the vaccine. Earlier, vaccination is being done through mobile vans at public places in the city. Under this initiative started by the district administration, 65000 thousand people have been vaccinated within three days. Bikaner Collector said that it is getting good response and soon the city will become Covid free.

At the same time, mobile teams have also been formed to deliver the vaccine to people’s homes from Monday. At the same time, helpline numbers have also been issued for online registration. Registration for vaccination can be done through this helpline number. Vaccines will not be given without registration. After registration, the van will reach that area and people will be examined and vaccinated.

The vaccine van will go to the homes of the people only after the registration of ten people. Actually, 10 vaccines are given in one vial of vaccine. If there is less than ten people, there is a possibility of spoilage of the remaining dose. The vaccine gets spoiled if left open for more than 4 hours. Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to take this step. A medical staff has also been appointed for this campaign, who will be with the person taking the vaccine for observation for some time.

At present there are 16 Urban Health Centers in Bikaner. The doctors present at these health centers have been told that whoever will be given the vaccine in their area, they will all monitor that person. Bikaner district administration said that so far about 60-65 percent of the population has been vaccinated. So far, about 3 lakh 69 thousand people have been given the vaccine in the district. Less than 50 new cases of corona virus have been reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 40 thousand 118 cases have been reported so far in the district.
