Black fungus threat in Maharashtra

Black fungus is growing rapidly in Maharashtra with corona infection. So far, two thousand people have been hit by black fungus in the state, while 8 people have lost their lives. After recovering from corona infection, people are vulnerable to black fungus, which poses a serious threat to their eyes and brain.

State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that two thousand people have been affected by black fungus in the state. He said that after the corona got infected, black fungus disease had increased rapidly in the state due to which 8 people have lost their lives so far.

Most of the patients who are suffering from diabetes have seen symptoms of black fungus. The state government has decided to provide free treatment to Black Fungus patients under the Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana. Also, separate wards are being built in hospitals for black fungus patients.
