CBI raids around 30 places across the country in army recruitment scam

There is a big action on Monday in the army recruitment scam. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raided around 30 places across the country. Along with this, an FIR has also been registered against 17 army officers associated with the case. These include Lieutenant Colonel, Major, Naib Subedar and Army Officer of the rank of Constable. CBI has conducted searches at 30 places across the country. These include Base Hospital, Cantonment, other Army establishments. The investigating agency has raided Kapurthala, Bhatinda, Delhi, Kaithal, Palwal, Lucknow, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Guwahati, Jorhat and Chirangon and recovered several documents. The CBI has taken action against Naib Subedar Kuldeep Singh, Lieutenant Colonel MVSNA Bhagwan, Army Air Defense Corps Visakhapatnam, Major Bhavesh Kumar, Group Testing Officer, 31 SSB Selection Center North, Kapurthala besides several senior officers posted at Base Hospital Delhi Cantonment. There were allegations of bribery and irregularities in the recruitment of officers and other ranks through the Service Selection Board (SSB) in the army. The CBI has taken this action on the same basis. According to sources, the family members and relatives of the army are also involved in the scam. It is also under investigation. Those who apply to be selected for officer rank in all the three services of the army, their examination is conducted by the SSB at the service selection centers.
