A high-level meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh regarding the CBSE 12th board examination. Education Ministers of all states said that the examination should be held in the meeting, Education Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia said that there should be vaccination of students first, followed by examination.
Manish Sisodia said that 95 per cent of the 12th standard students are more than 17.5 years of age, the center should talk to the experts whether they can be given Covishield, covaxin vaccine. He told the center that it would be a big mistake to conduct 12th class board examinations before vaccinating the students.
Manish Sisodia said in the meeting that the central government should talk to Pfizer regarding the vaccination of the students of 12th standard. He said that the safety of children is our responsibility.
The center has given two proposals for the exam. One proposal is to have papers of selected subjects in the exam center. At the same time, the second proposal is to change the exam pattern and get them done in the school within one and a half hours.
After the meeting, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that proposals have been sought from all states till May 25. Most states are ready to take the exam. The final decision will be taken on June 1. We will give 15 days time after the declaration for the examination.
