CCSA Allowed the Countdown Celebration

New Year's Countdown In Thailand

The new year is about to begin in a few days, so the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) in Thailand has also issued some guidelines regarding the new year.

The CCSA meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and he informed that New Year’s celebrations will be held as part of COVID-free setting measures.

CCSA also appealed to the people to get vaccinated keeping in mind the safety. “Everyone should get their vaccines as soon as possible,” CCSA spokesman Taweesilp Visanuyothin

Under the proposal, countdown celebrations on the new year have been allowed in eateries in all 77 provinces. Consumption of alcoholic beverages will be allowed till 1 am on January 1. Serve alcoholic beverages on condition that they are open-air restaurants with good ventilation.

Organizers, staff, singers and musicians participating in the festival must be fully vaccinated, and undergo antigen testing 72 hours prior to the event.

Earlier, the CCSA has also decided to end all maximum containment red zones in 23 provinces with effect from Thursday.
