CCSA Eases Restrictions in More Containment Zones

In view of the decrease in the cases of corona infection in Thailand, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has decided to relax the strict restrictions imposed in all maximum Covid-19 containment zones. Giving information, CCSA spokesperson Dr Tawisilp Visanuyothin said that while some businesses and activities are allowed to resume under strict measures, the number of tourism pilot areas will be increased from Thursday this week.

The Red Zone with maximum control in all the 23 declared provinces will be removed. The number of declared containment zones (Orange Zone) has been increased from 23 to 39. The Yellow Zone will increase from 24 provinces to 30 provinces. The number of blue-coded tourism pilot zones will increase from seven to eight.

In addition, Bang Kan, Nakhon Phanom, Trat (Khlong Yai District), Sa Kao (Muang and Aranyaprathet Districts), Mukdahan (Muang District) and Ubon Ratchathani (Muang and Sirindhorn Districts) will become tourism pilot areas on January 1.

Orange Zones – Khon Kaen, Chanthaburi, Chachoengsao, Chumphon, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Trang, Trat, Tak, Nakhon Nayak, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Si Thamarat, Narathiwat, Prachup Kheri Khan, Pattani, Prachin Bari, Ayutthaya , Phathlung, Fitsanulok, Phetchaburi, Phechbun, Mai Hong Son, Yala, Ranong, Rayong, Ratchaburi, Lop Buri, Lampang, Lamphun, Satun, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, Songkhla, Sa Kao, Sarburi, Suphan Buri, Surat Thani, Thani and Uban Ratchathani.

Yellow zones – Kalasin, Kampheng Phet, Chai Nut, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Sawan, Naan, Bung Kan, Buri Ram, Phichit, Phayao, Fry, Maha Sarkham, Mukdahan, Yasothan, Roi et, Loi, Si Sa Ket , Sakon Nakhon, Samut Songkhram, Sing Buri, Sukhothai, Surin, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lamphu, Uttaradit, Uthai Thani, Ang Thong and Amnat Charon.
