Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay to Open 14 Restaurants in Thailand

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is set to bring his culinary prowess to the vibrant and diverse food scene of Thailand. In a groundbreaking move, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has inked a deal with Tanachira Group, the lifestyle company known for brands like Pandora and Cath Kidston, to open 14 restaurants in the Land of Smiles. This exciting partnership marks yet another significant step in Ramsay’s ambitious global expansion.

Ramsay’s restaurant empire, which boasts 37 establishments in the United Kingdom and 35 worldwide, has been on a relentless quest to expand its international footprint. Recent openings in South Korea and Malaysia have whetted the appetite for further growth across Asia, and the collaboration with Tanachira Group represents a strategic move to tap into Thailand’s burgeoning dining market.

The initial phase of this collaboration will see the unveiling of two exquisite restaurants within Bangkok’s much-anticipated Emsphere Mall, scheduled to open its doors this December. On the ground floor of the mall, diners will be treated to the culinary delights of Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, where an all-day menu will feature iconic dishes like Beef Wellington, fish and chips, and the irresistible sticky toffee pudding that Ramsay is known for.

Heading to the first floor, Ramsay’s casual concept, Street Pizza, will offer bottomless sourdough pizza with an array of delectable toppings, including the tantalizing combination of corn and chorizo. Alongside these mouthwatering pizzas, hot wings and branded merchandise, such as hoodies and caps, will also be on offer.

But that’s just the beginning. According to both companies, there are plans for an additional 12 restaurants to open in Thailand in the coming years, promising to delight and captivate Thai food enthusiasts and Ramsay fans alike.

Andy Wenlock, Chief Executive of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, expressed his enthusiasm for this exciting venture, noting that Tanachira Group shares the same ambitions as Gordon Ramsay and himself. He stated, “This new partnership with Tanachira Group continues our global growth, whilst bringing our fantastic casual and premium casual brands to a new audience in Bangkok, who we know love to go out, socialize, and enjoy good food.”

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants is no stranger to international success. With a turnover that tripled to a staggering £78.9 million in the year leading up to August 2022, it has firmly established itself as a global culinary powerhouse. The group’s international portfolio already includes restaurants in the United States, France, and Dubai, showcasing Ramsay’s commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences worldwide.

The crown jewel of this culinary empire is the flagship Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London, which has held the coveted maximum three Michelin stars for over two decades. With a total of seven Michelin stars spread across its various establishments worldwide, Ramsay’s restaurants are synonymous with exceptional quality and unforgettable dining experiences.

As Thailand prepares to welcome the Gordon Ramsay culinary experience with open arms, food enthusiasts and aficionados of fine dining can eagerly anticipate a new era of gastronomic excellence in the heart of Bangkok. With Ramsay’s reputation for culinary innovation and Tanachira Group’s expertise in bringing lifestyle brands to the forefront, this partnership is poised to set a new standard for dining excellence in Southeast Asia.
