During clinical research, 5.85 gram pouches of 2-DG medicine were prepared.  Each of its pouches is dissolved in water in the morning and evening and given to the patients.  The results were good.  Rapid recovery was seen in patients who were given medication.  On this basis, the Drug Controller General of India has approved the emergency use of this drug.

Currently, this medicine will be given in hospitals only on the advice of a doctor.  At present, only emergency use has been approved.  Until this drug is approved for general use, it is not possible to come on the market.
