Covid Test Compulsory in Mumbai for International Travellers

Once again the cases of corona have started increasing in the country, due to which the state governments are making efforts at their level and now Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in view of the new variant of the name corona virus, Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked many countries. A new guideline has been issued for the incoming passengers. According to this, it will be mandatory for all those passengers who will land at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to get RT-PCR test done at their own expense after landing at the airport. Let us tell you that this rule will be applicable from midnight of 3 September 2021. Earlier, the government had now abolished the rule of Institutional Quarantine for international travelers. This decision was taken by the government in view of the new variant of Corona.

Giving information on the matter, BMC officials said that this decision will be applicable to passengers from countries like Europe, Middle East, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe and will be allowed to travel to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. As soon as you reach (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport), you will have to get your RT-PCR test done. Please tell that the cost of this test will have to be paid by the passenger only. BMC has kept the price of this test at Rs 600.

Explain that according to the changed rule, now the rule of Institutional Quarantine has been abolished for international passengers. Now instead they will have to get their RT-PCR test done. For this, all the preparations have been done at the Mumbai airport. Now at least three passengers will be corona tested at Mumbai airport in an hour. This order of the government will be applicable to all travelers coming from abroad from September 3.

Let us inform that earlier the government had exempted people who had taken both doses of corona from this rule, but, in view of the new variant C.1.2 of corona, this exemption has also been abolished. Apart from this, passengers who have to go out of Mumbai or take a connecting flight will bring their own negative report. Apart from this, he will have to give in writing that he will complete the 14-day home quarantine.
