Motera, the world’s largest cricket stadium, will now be known as the Narendra Modi Stadium. The world’s largest cricket ground with a capacity of 1.32 lakh spectators was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday. Home Minister Amit Shah was also present during this period. The first official name of Motera Stadium was Sardar Patel Stadium. Now the new sports complex will be named after Sardar Patel.
Shah said that Ahmedabad will now recognize itself as a sports city. Modi ji had this dream ever since he was the CM of Gujarat. The world’s largest sports complex will also be built near Motera Stadium at a cost of Rs 251 crore. It will be named Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Complex.
Amit Shah said, “Sports center will be built in the name of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. There will be accommodation for players and their coaches in the country. 3 thousand people will be able to take training together. It is starting with the hands of President Ramnath Kovind.” This is my parliamentary constituency and I am happy to have this big work here. Sardar Patel Sport Complex will be built on 230 acres of land. Apart from this, 18 acres separate sports complex will be built.
