Kisan Sansad has been called by Kisan United Front. Kisan Sansad will be started from 22nd July in which about 200 farmers will reach Jantar Mantar. This Parliament of farmers will run till the day till which the current session of Parliament will continue in the Parliament House. In this regard, a meeting was held between the farmers and Delhi Police today, in which the farmers put their program in front of the Delhi Police. Farmer leaders say that Delhi Police has not given any permission in this matter yet. He has said that he will be able to say something on this only after meeting with the administration and his senior officers. Another meeting is expected soon.
The meeting between Delhi Police and the leaders of United Kisan Morcha lasted for one and a half hours at Mantram Resort in Alipore today. Joint CP Jaspal Singh, Additional CP Rajeev Ranjan of Special Branch, DCP Outer North Rajiv Ranjan attended the meeting on behalf of Delhi Police.
Farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal told that we have told our program to Delhi Police. From July 22, 200 farmers will reach Jantar Mantar by bus. There the farmers will run the Parliament. There has never been any talk of gheraoing the Parliament by the farmers. He said that all the farmers who go to Jantar Mantar will be given an ID card from the Kisan United Front. Those who do not have an ID card, they will not be allowed to join. The Kisan Sansad will continue till the last day of the session in Parliament House. Police haven’t given any answer yet. We have asked the police to respond at the earliest.
A senior official involved in the meeting told off record that the meeting could be held again in the coming day or two. At the same time, farmer leader Shiv Kumar Kakka shared some information about the meeting.
Shiv Kumar Kakka said, “In the meeting we had with the police, we informed the police about our program. The police asked us to change the location of the Kisan Sansad and reduce the number to 200. But we told our police Now, how long they answer, is waiting for that.”
The farmers have made it clear to the Delhi Police that from July 22, Kisan Sansad will be started, which will be organized at Jantar Mantar. The Kisan Sansad will continue till the day the current session continues inside the Parliament House. During this, Delhi Police has not given any reply to the farmers. Delhi Police says that a decision will be taken on this subject only after talking to the administration. Many farmers have also said that in their Parliament session, about 200 farmers will reach Jantar Mantar by bus every day. Only those farmers will be included in this session who will be given I-card. Apart from him, no person can attend this Parliament session under the guise of farmers.
