Delhi’s own board of education will be announced by CM Kejriwal

The Cabinet of Delhi’s Kejriwal government has approved the Delhi Board of School Education on Saturday. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced it himself. He informed that 20-25 schools in Delhi will be included in the academic year 2021-22.

The Delhi government had last year constituted two committees to formulate a plan and a framework for the formation of the State Board of Education and curriculum reforms. After discussing this, the Cabinet of the Government of Delhi gave a green signal to its own Board of Education.

Kejriwal said that there are about one thousand government and 1700 private schools in Delhi. All the government schools and most of the private schools are currently attached to the CBSE board. We are initially ready to start studying under the Delhi Board in some schools. He said that it would not emphasize on practical knowledge, instead of ruckus.
