Delta Plus Variant Reaches 8 States

Delta Plus, the most dangerous variant of the corona virus so far, is slowly spreading its feet in the country. Its cases have been found in eight states of the country. The maximum number of cases have been found in Maharashtra. The ten states where its cases are found include Maharashtra, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh.

Along with this, in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh, two people have been confirmed to be infected with the delta plus form of corona virus, out of which one woman has died on 23 May.

So far 21 patients of delta plus form have been found in seven districts of Maharashtra. Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that a separate ward has been made in hospitals for such patients. The outbreak of the Delta Plus form may be more. Studies of this form have indicated that it may be more dangerous than previous forms.

US Surgeon General Dr Vivek Murthy said on Wednesday that the delta form of the corona virus, which is now responsible for about 90 percent of the new cases of the pandemic, is more contagious and more dangerous in terms of the severity of the disease. He told MSNBC, “We have seen how fast it has spread in the UK where it is responsible for almost 100 percent of new cases. And we have seen growth here as well. That’s why I’m worried.”

The Covid-19 weekly epidemiological update released by the WHO on June 22 said that globally, the alpha form has been found in 170 countries, regions or regions, the beta form in 119 countries, the gamma form in 71 countries and the delta form. Detected in 85 countries.

“Delta, found in 85 countries around the world, continues to have cases in other countries across all regions under WHO, with 11 of them in the last two weeks.”
