Domestic Air Travel Becomes Expensive

From today you will have to pay more for air travel in the country. Domestic air travel is going to be expensive from today. The Civil Aviation Ministry has decided to increase the air fare by 12.5%. This decision will come into effect from today. This increase has been made on both the minimum and maximum value of the airfare.

Along with this, the central government has allowed all airlines in the country to increase the number of domestic flights by 7.5 percent. Along with this, airline companies have also been allowed to increase passenger labor. Now the number of passengers in these domestic flights has been increased from 65 percent to 72.5 percent of the total seats.

The number of air passengers had come down drastically due to the Corona epidemic and the subsequent lockdown. Due to which the earnings of airline companies were also affected. Now these airline companies are expected to get a lot of relief from this move of the government.

Earlier on June 21 also, the central government had increased the fare of domestic flights by 15 percent. During the second wave of Corona, the number of domestic flights was reduced from 80 percent before Kovid to 50 percent. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has been continuously regulating airfares and air labor during the pandemic. The effect of which has been seen on the earnings of airlines companies.

In view of the reduction in corona cases, the central government had increased the passenger labor in domestic flights to 65 percent from July 5. Now it has been once again increased from 7.5 percent to 72.5 percent. To go from Delhi to Mumbai, where a minimum fare of Rs 4,700 had to be paid earlier, now after this increase, a fare of Rs 5,287 will have to be paid for it. On the other hand, if we talk about the maximum fare, then where earlier the fare from Delhi to Mumbai was Rs 13,000, now it will increase to Rs 14,625.

This is the fourth time this year that airfares for domestic flights have been increased due to the increase in jet fuel prices.
