Entry Restrictions Extends in Phuket

On the one hand, while the covid restrictions are being gradually eased in Thailand, on the other hand, strictness is still being done in some places such as Phuket. According to the provincial order, the stringent entry restrictions in Phuket have been extended for at least another two weeks. Domestic entry into the island province by land, water and air is prohibited, with the exception of essential vehicles, residents returning home and travelers entering under the “sandbox” scheme. According to the order, those entering Phuket should also be vaccinated against COVID-19.

    Tourists must book accommodation in advance
  • Those visiting Phuket as tourists must show proof of hotel reservation with advance payment. For more than seven days, the passenger must be tested for Kovid-19.
    Passengers and others involved in the Island Hop “7+7 Extension” project for the “sandbox” will undergo an antigen COVID-19 test every week.
    Travelers are required to be fully vaccinated to enter Thailand under the “sandbox” scheme.
    Children and adolescents below 18 years of age must undergo a COVID-19 test at least one hour prior to arrival.
