Koh Lipe Beaches
Koh Lipe is known for its gorgeous beaches, with several choices. The most popular are Pattaya Beach, Sunrise Beach, and Sunset Beach. Pattaya Beach is the island’s main beach, lined with restaurants and bars. Sunrise Beach is quieter and more secluded, while Sunset Beach is perfect for watching the sun go down.
Caution: Stonefish have been observed and captured on camera in the waters around Koh Lipe. Even if the likelihood of being stung is low, you should consider wearing protective footwear when swimming in the sea.
Diving and Snorkelling
Koh Lipe is surrounded by some of Thailand’s best diving and snorkelling spots. The coral reefs are home to various marine life, including sea turtles, reef sharks, and colourful fish. There are several dive shops on the island that offer day trips to nearby dive sites.

Nightlife in Koh Lipe
Koh Lipe has a vibrant nightlife scene that caters to all types of travellers—many bars and clubs on the island offer live music, DJs, and dancing. The bars on Pattaya Beach are the busiest, but there are also many quieter bars on Sunrise and Sunset Beach.
You can explore Koh Lipe entirely on foot. Narrow concrete roadways connect all the beaches. But if you don’t prefer walking, you can take long-tail boats to transport you from one island to another for around 50 baht. For 50–200 baht, you can ride a motorcycle taxi to get about the island. The average cost of a motorcycle taxi between most locations on the island is 50 baht per passenger.
