In view of the increasing cases of corona in West Bengal, the Mamata Banerjee government on Saturday, 16 to 30 May has announced the entire lockdown in the entire state. Only essential services will be allowed. All offices and educational institutions will also be closed. Shops of essential commodities like ration will open from 7 am to 10 pm, while sweets shops will open from 10 am to 5 pm. These shops will be completely closed on Sunday.
During the lockdown, petrol pumps will be open in West Bengal, banks will be allowed to open from 10 am to 2 pm. During this time all the industries of the state will remain closed, the workers working in the tea garden will be allowed to work only with 50 percent capacity.
Any type of religious or cultural programs have been banned. Apart from this, there will be restrictions on any kind of assembly.
