Former editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine Tarun Tejpal has been acquitted of all charges in the alleged sexual harassment case against him. The editor was accused of sexually assaulting a female partner in 2013. He was accused of sexual harassment by his female colleague. According to the woman’s allegations, she was harassed by Tejpal in a lift of a five-star hotel during an event held in Goa. After this Tejpal was arrested on 30 November 2013. However, he was later released on bail.
Police registered an FIR against Tejpal in November 2013, after which he was arrested. after the court acquitted Tarun Tejpal said that in November 2013 he was implicated in a false case of sexual harassment by a female colleague and today the trial court of the Additional Sessions Judge in Goa acquitted me.
