In the second wave, the pandemic has spread its footprint in cities as well as rural and tribal areas. In such a situation, the Central Government has issued a separate guideline for the villages and tribal areas to prevent its infection. In the new guidelines, the Ministry of Health has emphasized on surveillance, screening and isolation to prevent corona infection.
As per the new guidelines issued by the Union Health Ministry for rural and tribal areas, ASHA workers have been instructed to monitor cold-fever and community health officers in infected cases to see patients over the phone. Apart from this, ANM has also been told to be trained for rapid antigen test.
