Haryana Govt Hikes Dearness Allowance from 17 to 28%

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday announced to increase the dearness allowance of state government employees from 17 per cent to 28 per cent. The spokesman said that the increase in dearness allowance will be effective from July 1. He said that the increased dearness allowance also includes the increase of DA pending on January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021. According to the spokesperson, 2.85 lakh government employees and 2.62 lakh pensioners of the state will get benefit from this decision. At the same time, this will put an additional burden of Rs 210 crore on the exchequer every month.

Let us tell you that earlier the Central Government had increased the DA of central employees and pensioners from 17 percent to 28 percent. This increase was made after one and a half years and it will benefit about 1.14 crore central government employees and pensioners. The hike in DA and DR will put an additional burden of Rs 34,401 crore on the exchequer.

Earlier on Friday, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched several schemes. Moving towards Digital India-Digital Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched the ‘Gram Darshan Portal’. Along with this, the Chief Minister’s seal was given on the project of 1200 crores. Electric buses-polyfilm factories will be set up in Haryana.

Along with this, a meeting of the High Power Land Purchase Committee was held on Friday under the chairmanship of CM. The meeting approved the purchase of 29.19 acres of land through e-bhoomi with the consent of the farmers for setting up of four projects at Jind, Rohtak, Karnal and Panipat.

The farmers who agreed to give their land for the proposed government projects through video conferencing from the respective districts also participated in the meeting. Construction of sub minor in village Barsola, construction of ROB service road at Lakhan Majra village of Rohtak, construction of road from NH-44 to proposed University of Health Sciences in Kutail village and connecting main drain number 1 to main drain number 2 in Karnal city The departure was approved in the meeting.
