Holi 2024 Unites Indian-Thai Communities in Colorful Festivities

Holi 2024 was more than just a Bangkok affair; it was a lively festival celebrated across Thailand. The Amazing Thailand Holi Festival Bangkok 2024, held at Central World Bangkok, was a highlight of the festivities. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and Indian Ambassador to Thailand Nagesh Singh graced the event on Friday, March 22.

During the festival, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of such events in strengthening the bond between Thailand and India, promoting Soft Power, and boosting tourism. He expressed confidence in the increase of Indian tourists to Thailand, attributing it to the country’s policy of exempting visas for Indian tourists.

The festivities continued until March 24, featuring fun activities and food. And the Prime Minister encouraged all Thai people to embrace their roles as gracious hosts to visitors from around the world.

In Pattaya, the Indian Community Pattaya (ICP), TIPBA, and the Pattaya City Hall jointly organized the Holi Festival from March 22 to March 24 on Central Pattaya Beach Road. The event was inaugurated by Honorable Mayor Pattaya Poramet Ngamphichet, alongside various dignitaries. With over 30,000 attendees, the festival was a vibrant celebration of culture and community, showcasing the diverse and vibrant spirit of Thailand.

Simultaneously, the 15th Holika Dahan Festival by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Association Thailand, in collaboration with Arya Samaj Bangkok took place at the Vishnu Temple in Bangkok on Sunday, March 24, 2024. This year, they hosted an eco-friendly Holika Dahan, followed by a captivating cultural program. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of H.E. Shri Nagesh Singh, Ambassador to Thailand from the Embassy of India, and Dr. Atchaka Sibunruang, Chairman of TCEB, alongside other dignitaries.
