The Indian Council of Medical Research, ICMR, has approved in-house testing kits to confirm corona virus infection. Along with this, advisory has also been issued regarding the use of this rapid antigen test kit. It says that those who are found positive in this test should be treated as truly infected. They do not need to undergo a test again.
The ICMR said that RT-PCR checks must be conducted for all the negative people found negative in the RAT. This is necessary because there is a possibility of not catching some positive test in the RAT when the viral load is low.
ICMR has given permission for investigation in homes only in case of Simomatic patients. As soon as the kit is found positive in the investigation, the person concerned has been asked to contact the laboratory immediately.
Before testing, users of this kit will have to download the home testing mobile app on Google Play Store and Apple. The kit can be tested in-house based on the methods described in it. After checking through the kit, the photo of his strip will have to be taken, it should be taken from the same mobile phone on which the app has been downloaded.
