IMD Predicts Rainfall In Punjab And Haryana, Issues Alerts For Kerala

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding rain in other parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh (UP), Punjab, Haryana and Kerala. The Meteorological Department has said that the conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into the country. At present, Monsoon is expected to advance into parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, the IMD had informed that the Southwest Monsoon made landfall in Kerala on June 3 after a delay of two days. This year the monsoon has come late in the southern regions of India.

According to Dr SN Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, the monsoon has arrived in North India much earlier this time. It is being told that this is the first time in 50 years that the monsoon has arrived in UP 15 days earlier, so it is likely that this year there will be more rain than average. According to scientists, due to the arrival of early monsoon, paddy crop will be benefited, but mango and floriculture will suffer a lot.

IMD has issued an alert in UP regarding rain. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain for the next one week in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has knocked in UP ahead of time. For the first two days, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain. After this, with the change in the weather, the rain will also increase. Let us tell you that on Monday (June 14), apart from parts of Purvanchal, it rained for a long time in areas around Lucknow and Kanpur.

Along with Punjab and Haryana, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in the capital Chandigarh from Monday (June 15) to Tuesday (June 16) morning. During this, wind speed reaching 20-40 kmph will prevail over Jind, Kosli, Farukhnagar, Adampur, Rewari (Haryana) and adjoining areas. Along with this, light to moderate intensity rain will occur at places. Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Gilgit. Apart from this, areas like Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh will also be affected by rain.

The IMD has also issued an alert of heavy rain in many parts of Kerala. IMD said, “Orange alert has been issued for Idukki, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts for Monday, while yellow alert has been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts.” Has been done.
