India Made Covaxin Approved in UK

The UK government has announced the inclusion of India’s made vaccine Covaxin in its list, now from 22 November, international travelers who have got Covaxin will also be able to travel. That is, after getting the vaccine made by Bharat Biotech, there will be no need to self-isolate on reaching England. This step has been taken after the World Health Organization has put Covaxin on the list of emergency use. Covaxin was approved in early November

Oxford-AstraZeneca’s anti-Covid-19 vaccine ‘Covishield’, manufactured in India, was included in the list of approved vaccines in Britain last month. British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis tweeted , ‘Good news for Indian travelers coming to the UK. Passengers who have got the anti-Covid-19 vaccine included in the WHO’s emergency list, including Covaxin will not have to stay in the quarantine from November 22. This decision will come into effect from 4 am on November 22.

Covaxin has been allowed by many countries, but despite the vaccine getting permission, direct travel has not yet started in some countries. The Government of India has suspended international passenger flights till 30 November 2021 due to Covid. Only that country with which India has an air bubble agreement, direct flight can go there.
