To mark Dr. Ambedkar’s 134th birth anniversary, the event featured a series of commemorative activities reflecting on his monumental contributions to democracy, equality, and human rights. One of the key highlights was a special exhibition on the “Art and Calligraphy of the Indian Constitution,” offering visitors an opportunity to admire the visually stunning and historically rich documentation that forms the bedrock of Indian democracy.

The exhibition is also part of the ongoing celebrations of 75 years of the Indian Constitution, which came into effect on January 26, 1950. Visitors at the Gandhi Memorial Center were moved by the intricate artwork and handwritten pages that reflect the depth and vision of the framers of the Constitution.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, a documentary film titled “The Making of the Indian Constitution” was screened, showcasing the dedication and foresight of Dr. Ambedkar and other visionary leaders who played a pivotal role in shaping modern India.

The gathering included members of the Indian-American community, scholars, students, and friends of India, all united in paying tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy.
