ITCC Celebrates 80th Anniversary with Distinguished Guests

BANGKOK, THAILAND — The India-Thai Chamber of Commerce (ITCC) proudly celebrated its 80th Anniversary with a spectacular event, held at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park on August 27th. The occasion, which attracted approximately 500 guests, including industry leaders, business chamber representatives, and senior officials from the Royal Thai government, marked eight decades of fostering strong economic and cultural ties between India and Thailand. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including former Prime Minister H.E. Srettha Thavisin, Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mr. Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, Indian Ambassador Mr. Nagesh Singh, and Mr. Aloke Lohia, founder of Indorama Ventures, whose attendance added to the significance of this milestone celebration.

As the official organization dedicated to assisting and serving businesses trading or investing between Thailand and India, ITCC has played a vital role in strengthening bilateral relations and supporting the business community. The 80th Anniversary celebration underscored ITCC’s ongoing commitment to its mission.

The event was a grand success, thanks in part to the co-organization efforts of the Embassy of India. Their collaboration played a pivotal role in making the evening an unforgettable one.

The celebration brought together many esteemed CEOs from leading Thai companies, alongside valued ITCC members and guests. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Aloke Lohia, the visionary leader behind Indorama Ventures. Mr. Lohia’s unwavering support for ITCC over the years has been truly exceptional, and this award serves as a testament to his remarkable contributions to the community and the lasting impact he has made.
