Kabul Blast: Rocket Strike at Residential Area

A home near Kabul airport has been hit by a rocket after a suicide attack that killed 170 people. According to media reports, the attack took place on Sunday evening in Khaj-e-Bughra, a residential area west of the airport. The news agency Reuters has claimed that the US has carried out this strike on ISIS terrorists.

According to preliminary information, 2 people have died in this and 3 people are injured. Women and children are also among the victims. According to Afghan police, the rocket landed in the northeast area of ​​the airport.

Sources associated with the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan have also confirmed the blast. Earlier on Thursday evening, there were two suicide attacks near the airport.

After America, the Taliban had also told the threat of attack on Kabul airport. According to the report of the news channel Al Jazeera, the Taliban had said that the possibility of an ISIS attack on Kabul airport is very high. Also, people have been told not to go to the airport. At the same time, the Taliban had also released a video claiming that the fighters of Panjshir are taking an oath of allegiance to the Taliban and soon the entire Panjshir will be taken under the Taliban’s purview.

On the other hand, US President Joe Biden had warned that there could be a terrorist attack on Kabul airport in the next 24 to 36 hours. Biden had said that the situation is extremely dangerous and the danger at the airport has increased significantly. The US President made this statement after discussions with officials of his national security team in Washington on Saturday.

After this, the US embassy issued an alert of the threat of attack on Kabul airport for the third consecutive day. In the latest warning, the US has asked its citizens to immediately withdraw from Kabul Airport and its surrounding areas. Let us tell you that the US had issued the first alert regarding the danger at Kabul airport on Thursday and on the same day in the evening the terrorist organization ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K) attacked the airport. 170 people, including 13 American soldiers, were killed in this attack.

Two Afghan journalists and two athletes were also killed in a blast outside Kabul airport on Thursday. Afghanistan Journalists Center (AFJC) has claimed.

According to this, Ali Reza Ahmadi, who worked for Raha News Agency, and Najma Siddiqui, anchor of Jahan-e-Sihat TV channel, were also killed in the attack. Apart from this, Afghanistan’s national Taekwondo player Mohammad Jan Sultani and Wushu player Idrish also became victims of the attack.
