In wake of resurgence in Covid-19 cases in Kerala, the state government has decided not to do away with the weekend lockdown on Saturday and Sunday, and the restrictions will come into effect from July 15 at 12 am. The state will observe complete lockdown on July 17 and 18.
The relaxations and restrictions in the state will be decided upon the categorisation of local bodies on the basis of Test Positivity Rate (TPR).
Those areas which comes under category ‘A’ (TPR rate up to 5 per cent), all shops and business establishments will remain open on all days except during weekend lockdown.
