Legendary Actor Dilip Kumar Passes Away at 98

Dilip Kumar, popularly known as the great actor and tragedy king, said goodbye to this world today. He breathed his last at 7.30 am today. Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital on June 29 due to difficulty in breathing.

Dilip Kumar will be handed over to Juhu Cemetery in Mumbai at 5 pm today. Dilip Kumar’s funeral has been taken from Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai to his Pali Hill home. His funeral will be kept at home for his last visit.

Only 20 people will be able to attend Dilip Kumar’s last journey. According to Dilip Kumar’s family friend Faizal Farooqui, only 20 people will attend the last journey under the guidelines of Corona. However, it is not yet known who these 20 people will be.

Many people associated with cinema and politics are mourning his death. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also condoled the death of Dilip Kumar.
Dilip Kumar’s real name was Mohammad Yusuf Khan. He was born on 11 December 1922. He is known as The First Khan in Hindi cinema. The credit of method acting in Hindi cinema goes to him.

Dilip Kumar made his acting debut in 1944 with the film Jwar Bhata, produced by Bombay Talkies. Worked in more than 65 films in an acting career of nearly five decades. Some of Dilip Kumar’s films are Andaz (1949), Aan (1952), Daag (1952), Devdas (1955), Azad (1955), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Gunga Jamuna (1961), Ram Aur Shyam (1967) appeared in films like.

In 1976, Dilip Kumar took a five-year break from work. After that in 1981, he made a comeback with the film Kranti. This was followed by Woh Shakti (1982), Mashal (1984), Karma (1986), Saudagar (1991). His last film was Qila which released in 1998.

Dilip Kumar married actress Saira Banu in 1966. Saira Banu stayed with him till his last time.
