As soon as Mamata Banerjee’s government is formed in West Bengal, action has started against her minister in Narada case. The CBI today arrested the accused in the Narada case, Firhad Hakim, Subrata Chatterjee, Sovan Chatterjee and Madan Mitra. This morning, CBI officials arrived at the residence of Firhad Hakim and searched the house. Firhad brought Hakim to the CBI office for questioning.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee rushed to the CBI office, furious over the arrest of CBI leaders. Expressing displeasure over this arrest, Mamta Banerjee asked the CBI officials to arrest me as well.
West Bengal Governor Jagdish Dhankar had cleared the CBI officials for investigation against Firhad Hakim. In this case, a sting operation was done on behalf of Narada, in which many TMC leaders were caught taking bribe on camera.
