The Meghalaya cabinet has taken this decision keeping in mind the decline in corona cases in the state. Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that from September 1, all tourists will be allowed to come here. It will be mandatory for tourists coming here to have both doses of Covid vaccine. Apart from this, tourists who have not received a single dose of the vaccine, they will have to bring the RT-PCR report within 72 hours.
Also, before coming here, tourists will also have to generate an e-invitation by visiting the state tourism department’s app. The information about how many days the tourists will stay here and where they will stay will also have to be provided in advance. Apart from this, booking of at least one night stay in hotel, homestay or guesthouse is mandatory to come here.
