Navratri Utsav was Organized on 15th Oct at Shri Naga Durgadevi Temple

On the last day of Navratri 15th October, a festival was organized at Sri Naga Durgadevi Temple in Thailand. Phra Sri Naga Durgadevi was worshiped in this event. People along with their families participated enthusiastically in this event. Dance, and presentation of tableaux were also performed in the event.

Navratri is celebrated not only in India but also in neighboring countries, everywhere where Indians are present, different communities celebrate Durga Puja by following all Vedic rituals by placing the idol of Maa Durga in their temples, pandals or huge banquet halls.

Navratri is a festival of 10 days spanning nine nights. Durga Puja has become an integral part of Hindu culture showing devotion to Shakti. Durga Puja is an occasion to celebrate the glorious culture, heritage and traditions.

Celebrations include worshipping nine goddesses in nine days, stage decorations, recital of the legend, enacting of the story, and chanting of the scriptures of Hinduism. The nine days are also a major crop season cultural event, such as competitive design and staging of pandals, a family visit to these pandals, and the public celebration of classical and folk dances of Hindu culture.
