The Ambassador, accompanied by his spouse, Carter Duong, was received by Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida in recognition of his diplomatic service and contributions to strengthening bilateral relations.

As part of the occasion, Ambassador van Wijngaarden and his spouse presented a hand-painted Delft Blue vase created by Heinen Delfts Blauw.
The artwork represents a blend of Dutch ceramic tradition and Asian artistic influence, symbolizing the cultural bridge between the two nations and the enduring nature of their diplomatic relationship.

Ambassador van Wijngaarden expressed gratitude for the warmth and hospitality extended to him and his family throughout their time in Thailand, noting the personal and professional connections built during his posting.
