Farmers have been protesting at the border for 88 days against the new agricultural laws. The farmers’ organizations are engaged in the life-threatening agitation seen after the violence on the Red Fort on 26 January. Keeping this in mind, farmers have prepared a special strategy for the next week. During this time farmers will organize different programs.
According to the United Kisan Morcha (SKM), farmers will celebrate Turban Handle Day, Anti-Daman Day, Youth Farmers Day and Mazdoor Kisan Ekta Day. These events will be held from 23 to 27 February. He said that in view of the Parliament session from 8 March, the long term plan of the movement will be discussed and the strategy will be shared in the next meeting of SKM.
The agitating farmers are now preparing in view of the hot weather after experiencing the harsh cold. They have started installing fans in tents. Along with this, by increasing the height of the tent, you are putting another tent in it to avoid the heat. Along with this, AC trolleys are also seen at the picketing sites. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has said that the movement will last until at least October.
