No Consensus Yet on Covid-19 Vaccine Passport Issue at WHO Level, Says Govt

Regarding the vaccine passport, the Health Ministry said that no consensus has been reached on WHO level so far. Many countries are still discussing with the WHO whether vaccine users will be allowed. The government said that once the global consensus is reached about the vaccine, then we will be able to take a decision.

In January, the Tourism Crisis Committee held a meeting in Spain. It was agreed that the vaccine passport should be included in the most important documents in the documents required for the journey. Along with the vaccine, people should be given certificates so that people can travel.

The ‘Green Pass’ system has been implemented in Israel at present, allowing those who have been vaccinated to enter theaters, concert halls, restaurants and bars.

The need to set such criteria is being felt all over the world so that the journey can start in the world. There is no standard set about this yet. According to experts, there is a need for such a system, so that the actual confirmation of vaccination can be done, and in which it is not possible to fake it.
