There is news of relief for those who want to roam the mountains in Himachal Pradesh, India. If you also want to move out of the house and move towards the mountains, then the Himachal Pradesh government has made your path easy. After easing travel restrictions and seeing the outbreak of the second wave of Coronavirus subsiding, the Himachal government has decided that from July 1, e-pass will not be required to enter the state. Apart from this, the government has also resumed the interstate bus service in order for the public to travel without any hassles.
A meeting of the state cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur to review the Covid-19 situation. In which it was decided that from July 1, interstate bus service would be resumed with 50 percent capacity and the e-pass system would be discontinued. Simultaneously, government offices will be allowed to function with full presence.
All shops in the state will be able to remain open from 9 am to 8 pm and restaurants till 10 pm. In social gatherings, up to 50 people will be allowed to attend indoor events. A maximum of 100 persons will be allowed in outdoor gatherings.
From this day, religious places will also be opened for the devotees to see, but religious events will not take place. Apart from this, engineering, polytechnic colleges and ITIs will also be opened from July 1. However, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be issued by all the concerned departments. In the meeting, the cabinet has also approved the new formula for class 12th result.
After the decisions of the cabinet, tourists are now expected to get more relief. Due to the heat and after the decreasing cases of coronavirus, people from outside states have started turning to the mountains. At the same time, there is a possibility of bad weather in the state for the next 6 days. During this, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed the possibility of rain, storm in many parts of the state. The weather will remain bad in the state till June 28, 2021.
