Plasma therapy is not proving to be effective in saving the lives of corona infected patients. Despite its use, the death of the infected and the severity of their disease have not been reduced. According to sources, it will soon be removed from the Medical Management Guidelines (CMG).
In plasma therapy, antibodies present in the blood of the cured patient are given to serious patients. According to experts, after testing it on 11,588 patients, it was found that it did not make any difference in the ratio of death of patients and discharge from hospital.
In the meeting held by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Task Force constituted for COVID-19, all the members agreed to remove plasma therapy from CMG.
