PM Modi Announces Welfare Measures For Children Orphaned By Covid

So far, three lakh 25 thousand people have lost their lives due to the corona epidemic in India. There are many children who lost both their mothers and fathers. To help those children, the Modi government has announced a big welfare scheme. The government has announced a wide range of facilities for children orphaned by Kovid. From the expenses of schooling of children to giving them monthly scholarship assistance, many big announcements have been made.

Under the scheme, a child below the age of 10 years will be admitted as a day scholar in the nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya or private school. If the child is enrolled in a private school, then the fee will be given from ‘PM Cares for Children’ as per RTE rules. PM Cares will also pay for the expenses on children’s dress, books and notebooks.

Under the ‘PM Cares for Children’ scheme, the child will be given admission in any residential school of Central Government, like Sainik School, Navodaya Vidyalaya etc. Fees will be paid from PM Cares.

Children will be assisted in getting education loan for higher education. Interest on this loan will be paid by the ‘PM Cares for Children’ scheme.

All such children will be enrolled as beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana (PM-JAY), which will have a health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh.

For every child who attains the age of 18 years, will contribute through a specially designed scheme to create a fund of 10 lakh rupees. On completing the age of 23 years, he will get a lump sum of funds for personal and commercial use.
