PM Modi Conducts Aerial Survey Of Gujarat To Assess Cyclone Tauktae Damage

Prime Minister Modi made an aerial survey of the cyclone affected areas of Gujarat and Diu. After the survey, the Prime Minister held a review meeting in Ahmedabad to assess the damage and situation caused by the Tauktae cyclone. During this time other officials including the Chief Minister vijay rupani were present.

Along with this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced financial assistance of one thousand crore rupees for immediate relief activities in Gujarat. Apart from this, a compensation of two lakh rupees will be given to the heirs of the people who lost their lives due to Hurricane Tauktae and 50 thousand rupees will be given to the injured.

Due to the cyclonic storm in Gujarat, the coastal areas suffered heavy damage, electric poles and trees were uprooted and many houses and roads were also damaged. Around 13 people have also died in incidents during this period.
