PM Modi handed over 118 Arjun tanks to army in Tamil Nadu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Tamil Nadu and Kerala today. In Chennai, he handed over 118 Hitech Arjun tanks (MK-1A) to the army. The Prime Minister also gave a salute. During this, Army Chief MM Narwane was also present. These tank has been built by DRDO at a cost of 8400 crores. Along with this, PM Modi also launched some new schemes in Chennai.

  • Inauguration of Railway Electrification.
  • The army was assigned the Arjuna Main Battle Tank (MK-1A).
  • The foundation for renovation, extension and modernization of the Grand Anicut Canal System was laid. BPCL’s Rs 6,000 crore propylene derivatives petrochemicals project in Kochi.
  • International Cruise Terminal Sagarika at Cochin Port costing Rs.25 crores.
  • To lay the foundation stone for the renovation and extension work of Cochin Port.
