Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a special training program for Covid-19 frontline workers through video conferencing. With this launch, this program has started in 111 training centers in 26 states. During this, PM Modi said that a target has been set to train about 1 lakh youth in the country to support the current force fighting Corona. This course will be completed in 2-3 months, so these people will also be available for work immediately.
PM Modi said, “This virus is still among us and there is a possibility of it being mutated. Therefore, to deal with the challenges that come with every treatment and precaution, we have to increase the preparedness of the country. With this goal, a great campaign to prepare one lakh frontline corona warriors is starting in the country. New employment opportunities will also be created.
PM Modi said, “In the second wave of Corona, we have seen what kind of challenges the frequently changing nature of this virus can bring in front of us. This virus is still among us and there is a possibility of it being mutated. This pandemic has repeatedly tested the potential of every country, every institution, every society, every family, every human being in the world. At the same time, this pandemic has also alerted us to expand our capabilities as science, government, society, institution and individual.
PM Modi further said, “To support the current force fighting Corona, a target has been set to train about 1 lakh youth in the country. This course will be completed in 2-3 months, so these people will also be available for work immediately. This campaign will also give new energy to the front line force of our health sector fighting Kovid and will also create new employment opportunities for our youth.
Modi said, “In the last 7 years, emphasis has been laid on the construction of new AIIMS, new medical colleges, new nursing colleges in the country. Many of these have also started working. Reform is also being supported in medical education and related institutions. Under the special training program of frontline workers, candidates will get free training, certificate of skill India, food and accommodation facility, stipend with on-the-job training and accident insurance of Rs 2 lakh for certified candidates.
The objective of this program is to equip more than one lakh Covid warriors across the country with skills and teach them something new. Covid warriors will be trained in specific roles related to six functions namely Home Care Support, Basic Care Support, Advanced Care Support, Emergency Care Support, Sample Collection Support and Medical Equipment Support.
This program has been designed as a special program under the central component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 with a total financial outlay of Rs.276 crores. The program will prepare skilled non-medical healthcare workers to meet the current and future needs of the workforce in the health sector.
