Political turmoil continues in Myanmar as more close aides of leader Aung San Suu Kyi get arrested by the military. As the US president Joe Biden calls for ‘relinquishing power’ and the world criticizes the move, the Myanmar Military continues mass arrests and zeroing-in on key aides of the ousted leader.
Suu Kyi’s political party, National League for Democracy (NLD), on its verified Facebook page, said that party leader Win Htein had left Naypyidaw on Thursday afternoon, and has been arrested.
