Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has made serious allegations of corruption against the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which is building the Ram temple in Ayodhya. It is alleged that the general secretary of the trust, Champat Rai, with the help of Anil Mishra, a member of the organization, bought land worth Rs 2 crore for Rs 18 crore. He said that this is a straight money laundering case and the government should get it investigated by CBI and Enforcement Directorate.
At the same time, Pawan Pandey, who was a minister in the Samajwadi Party government and former MLA of Ayodhya, also made similar allegations of corruption on Rai in Ayodhya and demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter. Reacting to this, Champat Rai said that he is not afraid of such allegations. He will study the allegations against himself.
Sanjay Singh, while presenting some documents, claimed that the land of Gata No. 243, 244 and 246 with an asset value of Rs 5 crore 80 lakh in Bagh Bijaisi village of Ayodhya Sadar tehsil was owned by persons named Sultan Ansari and Ravi Mohan Tiwari, Kusum Pathak and Harish Pathak. Bought it on 18 March for two crore rupees.
The AAP MP said that Ram Janmabhoomi Trust member Anil Mishra and Ayodhya Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay had become witnesses in this land purchase that took place at 7.10 pm. Also alleged that exactly five minutes after that, Champat Rai bought the same land from Sultan Ansari and Ravi Mohan Tiwari for Rs 18 and a half crore, out of which Rs 17 crore was given as advance through RTGS.
He alleged, “The price of land purchased for two crore rupees has increased by almost five and a half lakh rupees per second. I demand from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government to immediately get involved in this matter by conducting a thorough investigation through the ED and CBI. The corrupt people should be put in jail because it is a question of the faith of crores of Ram devotees of this country as well as the trust of crores of people who have given their hard earned money for the construction of Ram temple.
