Sidharth Malhotra’s ‘Shershaah’ to Release on August 12

Fans were eagerly waiting for the film ‘Shershaah’ to be made on Kargil hero Vikram Batra and now its teaser has been released. In the film, Siddharth Malhotra is in the role of Vikram Batra, the ‘Lion of Kargil’. Along with this, the release date of the film has also been announced. For the first time in the film, the pair of Siddharth and Kiara are going to appear together, for which the fans are quite excited.

This film war drama is inspired from the life of Kargil war hero, Captain Vikram Batra (PVC). Shershah was the codename of Vikram Batra during the Kargil War on which the film is named. The teaser of the film has been shared by Siddharth Malhotra with his fans through a tweet. Which is going viral very fast.

Directed by Vishnu Vardhan and jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Kash Entertainment, Shershaah is the biggest Bollywood war drama of the year and will release as the lead till the Independence Day weekend. Fans from 240+ countries and territories in India and around the world can enjoy this thrilling movie starting August 12 only on Amazon Prime Video.

The film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles while Shiv Pandit, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Ankita Goraya, Anil Charanjit, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figur and Pawan Chopra are in lead roles.

Let us tell you that Sher Shah is a story of valor, love and sacrifice inspired by the life of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC). The film celebrates his bravery, and honors his priceless sacrifice in the 1999 Kargil War. Staying true to his codename ‘Sher Shah’, Captain Batra’s bravery and ultimate sacrifice played a vital role in India’s victory.

Shershaah’ was earlier scheduled to release in July 2020, but was postponed due to the Corona pandemic. In the film, Kiara will be seen in the role of Dimple Cheema, the fiancee of Captain Vikram Batra. ‘Sher Shah’ has been shot in Kargil-Ladakh and Kashmir, besides Palampur and Chandigarh.
